Montenegrin Investment and Development Fund (IDF) has announced a public call for financial awards for the best investment projects for women in business. The following call is part of the campaign “She starts a business” which is in line with the Strategy for the Development of Women’s Entrepreneurship of Montenegro 2021 – 2024, and in accordance with the Roadmap aimed at economic recovery after the coronavirus pandemic and the implementation of goals of sustainable development of energy and digital transition, gender equality, empowerment and equal access to finance, investments in society focused on balanced economic development and inclusion.
Through this call, Investment and Development Fund will award three best quality investment projects in the total amount of 15,000 euros:
- 1st prize- 7,000.00 €
- 2nd prize – 5,000.00 €
- 3rd prize – 3,000.00 €
All registered companies where the majority owner and executive director are women, registered in the relevant registers by the date of publication of this Public Call, and which operate for less than 24 months, fulfill the necessary requirements to apply.
In addition to this Call, there is a possibility for applicants to apply for the investment projects given through credit lines for women in business that are already in place by the IDF.
Upon the expiration of the deadline for this Public Call, the commission consisted of external experts will review the candidate investment projects and interview the shortlisted applicants. Investment projects with a focus on green and digital economy will be given a priority. The decision on the awards will be published on the IDF’s website.

The campaign “She starts a business” aims to raise awareness of the importance, benefits, potential and impact of women’s entrepreneurship on society, empower women in Montenegro to start a new or improve the development potential of existing businesses.
