As part of the collaboration between the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and the Mihajlo Pupin Institute (IMP), carried out through the POLICY ANSWERS project, a valuable resource has been created – the “Manual for Startups and Scaleups: Access to Innovation Financing.”

This handbook is a practical guide for entrepreneurs, startup founders, business development professionals, and innovation ecosystem stakeholders in the Western Balkans who are looking to scale their businesses, enter international markets, or secure funding from European and private investment sources.

The handbook provides detailed guidance on:

  • How to create an effective Pitch Deck and One-Pager to present to investors and partners,

  • How to access and utilize the EEN Marketplace to find business partners, funding opportunities, and strategic collaborations across Europe.

Through its practical recommendations, the document helps startups better understand the complexities of securing growth and development funding and how to leverage the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) – the largest support network for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with international ambitions.

Established by the European Commission, EEN helps companies innovate and grow internationally by offering expert advice, access to market information, partner matchmaking, and guidance on funding and regulatory issues in over 60 countries.
