He is the Head of the LASIM laboratory at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at UL and holds the Chair of Manufacturing Technologies and Systems department. He received his PhD in 1995 from RWTH Aachen University in Germany\, one of Europe’s leading technical universities. His career includes extensive experience in both academia and industry. He has worked in industry for several years and was Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education\, Science and Sport (MEST) for four years. Our aim is to promote knowledge exchange between academia and industry\, in order to strengthen the cooperation and transfer of innovations from research labs into industrial exploitation. Our goal is also further strengthening the knowledge base and experiences of technology transfer professionals at public research organisations. In the past events\, we hosted more than 2600 participants\, including investors\, inventors\, researchers\, commercialization experts\, start-up funders\, industrial development experts etc. Part of the conference are competitions to award the technology with the best business proposition\, which led to successful start-ups and licensing contracts. \nMore info.
