SUMMARY:Scaleup Europe Fund: Online Information Session for Europe’s High-Growth Tech Companies
DESCRIPTION:The European Commission is organising an online information session on the Scaleup Europe Fund on 4 November 2026\, offering founders\, investors and other innovation stakeholders an opportunity to learn more about one of the EU’s key new instruments for financing high-growth technology companies. \nThe Scaleup Europe Fund is designed to address one of the major challenges facing European innovative companies: access to sufficient growth capital to scale their businesses and compete globally. With a target size of around EUR 5 billion\, the Fund aims to mobilise substantial public and private investment for promising European scale-ups operating in strategic technology areas. \nSupporting Europe’s next generation of technology leaders\nThe Scaleup Europe Fund targets companies at the growth and scale-up stage\, particularly those developing or deploying strategic technologies. \nThe priority areas include: \n\nDigital and intelligent systems: artificial intelligence\, quantum technologies\, semiconductors\, advanced computing\, robotics and autonomous systems;\nPhysical and industrial systems: clean and secure energy technologies\, advanced manufacturing\, space and mobility technologies\, and advanced materials;\nLife and health sciences: biotechnology\, medical technologies and agritech.\n\nThe Fund can also invest in technologies with dual-use applications. \nThe Fund is expected to make major direct investments\, mainly in the form of equity\, with investments in eligible companies potentially reaching around EUR 100 million\, including follow-on investments. The objective is to catalyse larger European-led financing rounds and help close Europe’s late-stage financing gap. \nThe initiative is particularly relevant for innovative SMEs and scale-ups seeking substantial financing to support international growth. Improving access to private investment\, venture capital and other financing sources is also an important part of the support provided to growth-oriented companies through Enterprise Europe Network and FINNO activities. \nOnline information session – 4 November 2026\nThe European Commission is organising an online session for companies\, investors and other interested stakeholders wishing to better understand how the Scaleup Europe Fund works. \nDate: 4 November 2026\nTime: 10:00–11:30 CET\nFormat: Online\nLanguage: English\nRegistration deadline: 2 November 2026 \nThe session will provide further information about: \n\nthe Fund’s set-up and objectives;\nhow the Scaleup Europe Fund operates;\nwho it aims to support; and\nwhat the Fund could mean for founders\, investors and the wider European innovation community.\n\nParticipation is free of charge\, but registration is required. Participants who register will receive the information needed to join the online session.
